We recently supplied and installed a protective, wear-resistant alumina lining on a cyclone designed for the food processing industry, on behalf of JEAN BOURDEN, a metal fabrication company.
Project technical specifications:
– Material: 92% alumina – very high abrasion resistance
– Thickness: 6 mm
– Precisely laid-out tiles, cut to shape for a perfect fit to the cyclone geometry
– Food-contact compliance certificate for the alumina supplied, in accordance with food industry requirements
Instalation process
– Sandblasting of the substrate to ensure optimal adhesion
– Degreasing of the tiles and substrate
– Precision bonding of the tiles
– Final cleaning and inspection
This type of application significantly extends the service life of equipment exposed to severe abrasive conditions, while meeting the strict standards of the food processing industry.
