In early october, one of our flap valve under cyclone has been installed in a cement plant in Central Asia.

This development is the result of design work carried out at PA. Technologies to address a well-known operationnal issue : flap jamming, cyclone blockages and partially open flap valves.

Why does it matter ?

  • ENERGY : each additional percentage point of false air in the gas circuit costs calories (several kcal/kg of clinker). Over a full production year, these losses add up on the fuel bill.
  • AVAILABILITY : a jammed valve can bring production to a halt and an underperforming valve can cause cyclone blockage and an unplanned kiln stop, with hours of lost production, restart included. the resulkt : lost output, difficult interventions and safety risks.
  • MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY : fewer emergency corrective interventions in extremely high-temperature conditions. Our valve is designed to operate reliably, without jamming, to keep the preheater tower airtight over time.                      In parallel, several other flap valves are also bein manufactured in our workshop for other cement plants.

PA. TECHNOLOGIES is a company of engineers and technicians. We design, manufacture and support our equipment through to commissioning, staying close to the real world constraints of heavy industry.
